As the sun sets, shadows take on a bluish hue, and the sounds around you grow more vivid, as if murmuring secrets about the approaching night. On a calm evening, if the sea rests in stillness, you might even hear the faint rustle of grass blades. (Those delicate stems, so fragile in hand that they must not be twisted.) Yet, it is the sea itself that commands the symphony, its rhythm marked by waves – one after another, like the steady breath of nature.
Can you hear it while gazing at the painting? For those, like me, whose hearts are tied to the sea, the answer is surely yes.

Blades of grass and spikes – what could be a humbler detail? Yet, for an artist, these simple forms demand both imagination and patience to avoid descending into the ordinary. Each stem carries a story, layered with subtle colors and the pursuit of barely perceptible movement. The result? A gentle harmony of tones, caught in the light of the sunset breeze.
